Prognosfruit is built on a long experience of gathering the European apple and pear industry. It is this year the 39th edition. The conference is attracting growers, processors and traders from across Europe and is also a networking opportunity for decision makers which attend the conference. Prognosfruit is the opportunity to unveil the forecast of production for apple and pears and also debriefing the development of the previous season while setting some trends for the upcoming season. The Prognosfruit conference also addresses some of the topical issue. Besides the professional part of the conference, there is also a technical visit and several social events to reinforce the networking and contact among the European apple and pear community.

EVENING PROGRAM
Sunny Villages with Castles. Tesimo and Prissiano are nicely secluded between apple orchards and vineyards in the low mountain ranges between Merano/Meran and Bolzano/Bozen.
The view encompasses the valley floor and the alpine giants of the Sarntal Alps. Once a summer playground for the nobility, Tesimo and Prissiano are now popular excursion destinations. Chestnuts grown in Tesimo are particularly tasty: they provide a good excuse for Mr. and Mrs. South Tyrol to come together and celebrate the chestnut harvest in the fall. Six castles and palaces are evidence of a prime location.
Castle Katzenzungen
Just a short distance from the spa town of Merano/Meran, Katzenzungen Castle is a worthwhile day trip.
At Katzenzungen Castle, you can explore 800 years of history. The vistas through the castle’s windows make it clear why South Tyrol is so special. The castle can accommodate up to 450 guests for special events, thanks to the ample space and versatility it offers. Let us carry you inside the walls of this Renaissance castle to days of yore—without forsaking modern themes and contemporary needs. Immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere, and enjoy the harmony of old and new.
