In Castellón, an important Spanish growing region for clementines, not a day goes by without the daily newspapers opening the door to the citrus crisis. Headlines include: “The worst autumn for oranges”, “We want fair prices”, or “Citrus farmers throwing Clemenules on the street”. This situation began at the beginning of the season and peaked when the producers with the agricultural organisations at the top took to the streets in November.
