Valencia, Spain 26.02.2019).- Asterix and Obelix are back! In the animation film „Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion”, the cult Gauls conquer the cinema screens again. Just in time for the premiere of the film, SanLucar, the premium brand for fruit and vegetable, launches a vast promotion campaign with the two brave film heroes at the heart of the attention. This campaign runs in German supermarkets from 11 March until 22 April 2019.
The SanLucar strawberries, pineapples and bananas as well as the special smoothie edition come with funny stickers of the strong Gauls. “Through our cooperation with popular film figures we aim to motivate children to enjoy fruit. Precisely for them, a healthy diet is very important”, explains Nuria Pizán, Brand & Creative Director at SanLucar.
Colourful displays, a folder full of recipes, and posters ensure the campaign´s high visibility at the POS. As part of the promotion with Asterix and Obelix, SanLucar is also raffling a weekend in Germany at the Tropical Island Resort for two adults and two children, including one night as well as transport to and from the location.

In the past, similar collaborations of SanLucar have been particularly successful: such as with Maya the Bee, Paddington or the Grinch. In the latest film, the druid Miraculix looks for an appropriate successor, whom he can let in on the secret of the magic potion. “Because Asterix and Obelix love their magic potion so much, we created a new delicious smoothie”, claims Alex Thaller, director SanLucar Austria. But not only the taste plays an important role – nature is likewise important. The company protects the soil, handles water with care and counts on ecological control.
