The first Fruit World Map was printed in 1979. Since then the map can be found in every corner of the world: In executive offices and entrance halls of import and export companies, traders, producers, shippers and even universities – hundreds of Fruit World Maps have been shipped in the last 37 years. While some companies use the map to show their areas of operation, inform clients or train staff others are sending it as a gift to their best customers, employees or partners.

The swiss design team has updated the map in 2015 with some great new detail. The redesign shows the major global production centers for fresh produce plus exotic fruit like lychee, mangosteen, drago fruit, guava, persimmon and passion fruit. The team has added nuts and dried fruit. The wallpaper is printed on sturdy 120-150g/m2 paper. Many companies in fresh fruit and vegetable production, harvest and post-harvest, sorting, packaging, logistics and retail like Chiquita, Del Monte, Syngenta, Maersk, the ports of Rotterdam and Hamburg have ordered the Fruit World Map.
Other fruit and vegetables depicted in the Map include apples and Pears, 5 berry varieties, stone fruit, citrus fruit, exotic fruit, vegetables, nuts. The map features 54 fresh produce types in over 100 countries.
The updated map is available in a first edition with just more than 40 remaining copies. It will soon be available on http://www.amazon.com/ in the global store with Amazon Payment and fulfilment. The map has received worldwide copyright and trademark protection in 1981.
