The 10th International Symposium on Temperate Fruits in the Tropics and Subtropics
This ISHS symposium is organized by Sultan Qaboos University in close collaboration with the Ministry of Agriulture and Fisheries and the Research Council of Oman (TRC).
Oman is a country in the northeastern Arabian Peninsula, characterized by great climatic and geographic diversity that allows it to grow a variety of fruit crops. These include tropical, subtropical and temperate fruit crops.
The 10th international symposium will host keynote speakers from around the world with unique experience in growing temperate fruit crops in a variety of climates. They will address key issues facing cultivation of temperate fruits in the tropics and subtropics.
The symposium is supported by research organization in Oman. We kept the cost at minimum to allow wide participation from scientists across the globe.
Keynote speakers have been invited to the symposium to talk about various aspects of cultivating temperate fruit crops in tropical and subtropical climates. The speakers will cover orchard management, fruit physiology, postharvest technology and plant pathology.
